Education

We deliver a unique, progressive and innovative service to schools, colleges and alternative education providers.

Our two pronged approach looks to meet the needs of both young people and the staff who work with them. Effective solutions for young people include workshops and development days on subjects such as:

  • Substance Misuse
  • Gun and Knife Crime
  • Mental Health
  • Sexual Health
  • Healthy Living
  • Understanding Risk (Staying Safe on The Streets)
  • Urban Street First Aid (Gun and Knife Wounds)
  • Self Esteem
  • Business and Enterprise
  • Transitions
  • Equality and Diversity
  • SEAL

We also provide programmes for young people including residentials for Maths and English, bonding, leadership development, wider subject improvement and many more. Programmes for young people are often delivered in a fun, innovative and engaging way. It’s not uncommon to see great personal development for the young people attending the programmes.

Inset and twilight based sessions for staff include specific education which help support wider behaviour management within schools.
Programmes currently in place include:

  • Solution Focused Brief Therapy
  • Anger Management Programmes
  • Behaviour Management INSET days
  • Therapeutic Management of Self Harm
  • Emotional Resilience for The Worker
  • Early Play in the Classroom
  • Critical Incident De-Brief
  • Mindful Enquiry
  • Social and Emotional Aspects of Teaching
  • Nursery to Nineteen: Play in the Classroom

More in depth solutions for schools include bespoke alternative education programmes for young people who are either extremely isolated or demonstrating specific difficulties. We also deliver a classroom observation service which can identify the root cause of specific behavioural management programmes within the classroom.

“I requested to be on this course. I had been on one before and had not found it too useful. However I really enjoyed the Just ONE course. It made me understand and realise I am in the right job and I feel I understand the importance of managing childrens behaviour well. The explanation of risk management was excellent and I now comprehend their absolute importance. The trainer was obviously extremely knowledgeable and delivered the course with humour, maintaining my interest throughout.”
